MedChi Museum of Maryland Medical History/Archives
For the past 225 years, MedChi has been essential to all aspects of medicine in Maryland. From our founding in January of 1799, to establishing the first medical and dental schools in Maryland, from being involved at crucial points in Maryland's and America's pivotal moments, to helping to develop CPR, MedChi has been there.
Our archives date back to our earliest days. Our journals provide glimpses into how medicine was practiced over the centuries. Our stacks library contains more than 50,000 books, some dating back to the 1600s. And now our museum, The MedChi Museum of Maryland Medical History is bringing all of that to the public.
As we work on old documents, we think about the people who came before us, what they did and how their legacy has lasted. Please help us continue this tradition by making a contribution to preserve and protect our history.
